Here's a step by step for mixing your Chrome at Home Kit once received. Also Instructions on applying the process can be found by click the link below.

Instructions

Please follow carefully to insure best results!

Mixing Basecoat

Base Coat

                         Mix at 1:1 

Ex.( 30g base coat mixed with 30g base hardener), apply at 29 psi at the nozzle, 1.5-2.0 turns out on fluid all depending on model gun. Try to apply in one wet coat if possible with no dry areas or orange peel, as this will show in the mirror finish. Let air dry for at least 45 minutes before starting plating process.


Mixing Pre Activator

Pre Activator

Step 1 in the Chroming Process

Mix by measuring out 15g in a cup and adding water until measuring 250g. 

Ex. (measure 60g then add water til reaching 1000g) Spray Completely over the part break all surface tension and leaving to areas "beading" solution of piece. Leave for 20 seconds and rinse part well!


Mixing Activator

Activator

Step 2 of the Chroming Process

Mix by measuring out 1.5g then add water until measuring 500g. Spray completely over part and leave for 20-30 seconds before very very very thorough rinse with water. *Shelf life once mixed 24 hours*


Mixing Chrome

Bottles labeled 3A & 3B

Step 3 of the Chroming Process starts by pouring water in Red chroming bottle and setting the spray to the most fan mist spraying setting, empty bottle. Then take Chrome bottles 3A and 3B and pour one chemical to each of the red chroming bottles. When spraying piece start from bottom to top getting the whole base around piece before continuing to top till complete. Completely rinse all unused chemicals off well.

Mixing FullSize Kit Chrome

Bottles labeled 3A ,3A2, & 3B

Step 3 of the Chroming Process starts by mixing up the Chrome. These directions are for the FULLSIZE Kit.


-Mixing 3A/3A2

  -Start by weighing 250g of 3A into a container.

  -Add 20g of 3A2 to the container.

  -Add 930g of distilled water for a combined weight of 1,000g(1L)

  -Mix Well


-Mixing 3B

  -Start by weighing 100g of 3B into a container.

  -Add 900g water for a combined weight of 1000g(1L)

  -Mix Well


*Mixed shelf life 1 month

*Not Mixed shelf life 1 year



Mixing Anti-Scratch Top Coat

Top Coat

                          Mix at 2:1  

SHAKE WELL! , Ex.( 30g base coat mixed with 15g base hardener), mix well. If adding color do a completely clear layer first. Then do tinted coats til desired color is achieved. Apply at 29 psi at the nozzle, 2-2.5 turns out on fluid all depending on model gun. Try to apply in one wet coat if possible{if not adding color) with no dry areas or orange peel, as this will show in the mirror finish. Let air dry for at least 4 hours. Handle in 12 hours.


Mixing Anti-Scratch Top Coat

                          Mix at 2:1
